New Guidelines during COVID-19

 

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we work under the following guidelines as outlined by the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia in consultation with the department of health within the government of Nova Scotia. Please take time to read the guidelines prior to your visit at Sincerely Skin™. We recognize it will be different than in the past, however, know these guidelines are in place to ensure your safety and the safety of our team.


What you need to know in Phase 5:

  • Face masks must be worn by guests and employees

  • Hand washing or hand sanitizer mandatory prior to services

  • Covid 19 Checklist must be completed prior to entrance

  • Proof of vaccine not required


Guidelines for Visiting Guests

  • Arrive on time

for your scheduled appointment in order to maintain the flow of service in the boutique and to avoid cancellation or shortening of your appointment. Your esthetician/laser technician will be on a very tight schedule to allow for the sanitation/disinfection protocol required to keep you and others protected and safe. 

  • Wear a clean mask.

If you do not have a mask, complimentary disposable masks will be available or fabric ones will be available for purchase. Social distancing is to be maintained even if wearing a mask and masks do not replace social distancing requirements.

  • Maintain social distancing 

whenever possible (6 feet apart from one another).

  • Wash your hands

immediately upon entering the boutique wash hands with soap and water for a minimum 20 seconds, following all hand washing protocols. Your esthetician/laser technician will as well prior to your service. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the boutique.

  • Fill out Covid-19 health waiver

A digital checklist will be sent prior to your arrival at Sincerely, Skin Skincare & Laser Boutique and a Covid - 19 waiver will be available to fill out on your first visit. Failure or refusal to fill out this waiver will result in service cancellation and full payment of service will be requested.

  • Reschedule your appointment

to keep everyone healthy and your esthetician/laser technician safe and working if you exhibit any of the symptoms outlined in the waiver. While there will be no charge to re-schedule your appointment due to illness, no-shows will be charged 100% of the missed service(s). 

  • Follow all directions

 and notices when visiting the boutique

  • Debit and credit preferred,

however cash will be accepted.  

  • A team member will help you with all product purchases.

Touching retail displays is discouraged at this time. 

  • The waiting area 

will not be available at this time. A chair will be available for filling out necessary paperwork prior to your service and for those requiring assistance. 

  • Attend appointments alone

 unless you require assistance from a caregiver or family member, as we will only be allowing guests with scheduled appointments in the boutique. Young children will not be able to attend appointments along with guests. 


Use appropriate etiquette

Cough or sneeze into the bend of the elbow or into a tissue, immediately discard into a covered wastebasket and wash your hands.

— Bring your own drink  if you wish and take home upon completion of service as we will not be offering beverages at this time. We do have bottled water for guests in need.

— Limit personal belongings as much as possible. Bring along only what you may need while visiting. (ex. On a nice day, leave jacket in vehicle). Your esthetician/massage therapist/laser technician will be waiting to explain the appointment process to you upon entering the salon. 

— Avoid hugs & handshakes (as much as we may want to).

Our team will focus on diligent sanitation and disinfection protocols throughout the day and in between each guest visit. Sanitation/disinfection of tools, equipment, high touch surfaces (chairs, counters, debit terminals, door handles, bathrooms) etc. will be maintained. 

Guests must exit the treatment room & boutique immediately upon completion of service and check out. There will be a slight increase in prices due to added expenses. Sincerely, Skin team members will be wearing protective face coverings while providing your services and face shields while providing services around the face.  All Sincerely, Skin team members are all certified in infection control. Front desk will have a plexiglass barrier installed for added protection. All towels and linens are washed after each guests' visit and rooms will be sanitized between guests. Magazines, books, and coloring books will not be available at this time. Product brochures will be provided by Guest Concierge. 


Health Condition: How are you feeling?

Do not attend your appointment if you have symptoms which are new or have worsened if associated with allergies, chronic or pre-existing conditions:

  • Fever (ie., chills, sweats)

  • Cough or worsening of a previous cough

  • Sore throat

  • Runny nose 

  • Headache Shortness of breath

  • Muscle aches

  • Sneezing Nasal congestion/runny nose

  • Hoarse voice

  • Diarrhea

  • Unusual fatigue

  • Loss of sense of smell or taste

  • Red, purple,or bluish lesions on the feet, toes or fingers without clear cause

Do not attend your appointment if you:

  • Have returned to Canada from outside the country (including USA) in the past 14 days.

  • Have been in direct contact with anyone who has been outside of Canada within the last 14 days.

  • Have been in direct contact with anyone who may have been exposed to the virus.

If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, you are advised to stay home and self-isolate for 14 days, to contact 811 and rebook your appointment for a later date.

Contactless Delivery & Boutique Foyer Pickup Available 

Contactless Delivery:
We understand that some of our guests will not be comfortable in public spaces in the coming weeks so we will continue to offer contactless delivery to your door. 

Boutique Foyer Pickup: 
To limit the number of guests inside the boutique we are offering boutique foyer pickup. Contact us with your order, provide payment, tell us when you would like to pick it up and we will have it ready for you on the table in the foyer for pick up.
